Photos of the Week

Hello! Welcome to my blog. Glad you are here.
My beautiful daughter, Lila Juliet, is now 3 months old.

Sister Love.

Magic window light.

Me.

Raspberry muffins. Sweetened with honey, bananas, and coconut sugar.

These were so delicious we decided to make them again. Served with rice milk of course.

We've collected a lot of vintage children's books for Eliora. They have the best pictures.

Eli has a quiet time everyday to read her books.

We have a glass chandelier that casts rainbows throughout our house in the late afternoon. We love it.

Dinnertime. I love mushrooms.

We have the sweetest lemon tree in our backyard.

Tomato plants in our garden.

My husband built this planter.

I eat this breakfast almost every morning. Gluten free cereal, coconut, hemp seeds, cinnamon, and rice milk. And when available, raspberries.

We go through a ton of honey. This one is from Brazil. I've always wanted to visit Brazil, but at least I can taste it :)

Eliora was playing hopscotch with her aunt Lily.

Lila baby.

I still can't believe we have a palm tree in our backyard. It looks best with the stars behind it.

Smoothies. Cherries, peaches, peach juice, coconut milk, hemp seeds, and spinach.

I had to get a shot of Eli sleeping. So sweet!

We just painted Lila's nursery peach. It was a dark blue. It looks so much lighter.

This is our dog Charlie.

Pizza with vegan cheese.

There are a lot of these tiny peach flowers growing in our side yard. Maybe God had me in mind when he made these because my favorite colors are peach and purple.

My Thoughts on Leaving Northern California

My family and I will be moving in 3 weeks. We will be leaving Northern California for sunny Southern California. Our home is located in a suburb right outside of LA. We made the decision to be closer to family and friends. Even  though I am super excited about our new journey ahead, part of my heart cries to leave the kiss of nature I have known here. I wrote a little "poem" about how I felt.

The rivers, streams, views, mountain peaks
Have grown my soul
They have cradled me like a child
They have deposited a treasure in my heart
That no man can take
I have felt the song of ancient trees
Gazed on the sunlit river of glitter
Stood in it's cold pure living flow
I have been a child in wonder
Part of me never wants to leave
But I know sometimes you have to
Let the good go
For the possibility of the better
Or even the different
Change is healthy
Keeps your veins pumping
And your waterways clean
Keeps your mind fresh
I know one day I will be reunited
With my lover
To taste her beauty again
To sit in the shade of her delight
To fall asleep on her mossy bed
As birds chirp, sun breaks
Through in rows of warmth
Her melody whispers me to sleep
This is not goodbye forever
Thank you for all you have given me

Thank you for reading my blog. Much love.

I have a lot of photoshoots that I have not blogged about. So I will begin to share them. Hope you enjoy! This first one is of my beautiful friend Amanda.
